My Dad’s 33rd Annual Walk For A Cure for Diabetes was a huge success. Over 40,000 people came out to walk in 6 different locations throughout Illinois. My father received a statue on the sacred grounds, outside of Wrigley field, on August 10th. I am so proud to be his son and was so moved by the outpouring of love from all the fans that showed up to witness the event. RON SANTO TIMELINE 1940 – Ron Santo was born in Seattle, Washington on February 25. 1958 – Ron was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes (insulin dependent).
